Ted Wilson
Interim Executive Director
Before spending the last 7 years in various interim leadership positions, Ted has spent over 45 years working in various leadership capacities in child-serving, mid-sized nonprofit organizations. Following a tour of duty as a naval officer, Ted began working in a church-sponsored residential treatment center in Maryland and then held management positions in child care agencies, independent schools, and residential children’s programs in several states which led him to become Executive Director of the Veterans of Foreign Wars’ National Home for Children (Michigan) and ultimately CEO of a diverse consortium of private schools based in Arlington, MA called Schools for Children, Inc.

Bethany Riley
Director of Human Resources
Bethany Riley, goes by “Riley,” joined Bootstraps in June 2021 as the Director of Human Resources. She comes from a nonprofit management background with the majority of her time being spent in the Boys & Girls Club Movement. Some of what Riley oversees includes matters related to employee relations, organizational culture, and payroll/benefits. Riley is excited to work with the employees at Bootstraps to best support them so they can in turn support our community and clients.

Advisors & Community Members
Advisors are community members with specific expertise asked by the Board of Directors to advise Board Committees. Advisors attend committee meetings and the Annual Board Meeting in November. Advisors serve one-year, renewable terms that begin in January. Thank you to our 2025 Advisors:
