Summer means gardening season, and for Amaury, it’s been a season full of growth in more ways than one. Each day, he can be found in his garden, tending his vegetables, feeling the warmth of the sun, and connecting with nature and himself. Gardening has become a time for reflection, patience, and joy, teaching lessons in responsibility, self-care, and self-sufficiency that carry over into daily life and mental well-being. Living in a Beverly home run by Vinfen, Amaury has been sharing his summer harvest with the Beverly Bootstraps Food Pantry, proudly giving back to his community and helping others.
Founded in 1977, Vinfen is a nonprofit health and human services organization that supports individuals with mental health conditions, developmental disabilities, brain injuries, and behavioral health challenges, helping them build resilience, independence, and purpose. It has been an honor to hear Amaury’s story and to see him choose to support our Food Pantry. We wish him the best of luck with his newfound hobby and look forward to enjoying more of his beautiful harvest in the seasons to come!
