The Boutique at 198
Located inside the Thrift Shop, The Boutique at 198 is a section of women’s and men’s upscale merchandise, including shoes, handbags, clothing, jewelry, and accessories. Thrift Shop customers can shop high fashion for low prices while contributing to the mission of Beverly Bootstraps.
Gently used and in-season clothing, household items and décor, furniture, and books are all items that can be donated to our Thrift Shop. Please drop off your donations in our parking lot at 198 Rantoul Street only during our donation hours* of Mon-Fri, 9:30 am – 4 pm and Sat, 10 am – 3 pm. Please do not leave donations when we are not open.
Disposal of items we cannot accept:
Massachusetts has a waste ban regulation in effect. We, unfortunately, cannot accept items that are stained, ripped, or overly worn. Please check to make sure that all items you are donating are clean and in good condition. Having to sort and dispose of items that are stained, ripped, or overly worn often takes time and money away from the important programs and services we provide to the community.
Beverly residents: click here to find where you can bring unsellable textiles. For mattress disposal information in Beverly, visit the city’s website. If you are not a Beverly resident, you can check your local government website for more information.

Thank you for donating to and shopping at the Thrift Shop, where 100% of net profits fund the important programs and services of Beverly Bootstraps.
All furniture donations MUST be pre-approved by a Thrift Shop manager. Once approved, the manager will arrange a mutually acceptable time to pick up your donations in your home or curbside. You may opt to drop off your pre-approved furniture donations during these hours: Monday – Friday, 9:30 am – 4 pm and Saturday, 10 am – 3 pm.
Please review our Furniture Donation Guidelines, then email pictures of your donation.
Thrift Shop on eBay
The Thrift Shop sells an assortment of merchandise on eBay, from jewelry, figurines and clothing to collectibles and more. Items are listed every week, allowing Beverly Bootstraps to reach a wider customer base, which helps the Thrift Shop generate more revenue to help fund the agency’s programs.
For an easy way to track the value of your donations throughout the year and to easily be prepared to deduct their value on your taxes, sign up for It’s Deductible, a free donation tracking program from TurboTax.
The constant flow of donations makes the Thrift Shop a busy and exciting place to volunteer. Most volunteers find their own niche at the shop, be it sorting clothes, displaying items, marking housewares, helping at the register or keeping the shop appearance appealing to our customers. The jobs at the shop can vary from moment to moment.
