Meet Angela.
After the tragic passing of her mother in February, Angela, only 22, was now the sole caretaker for her two younger siblings.
Life was suddenly full of unexpected responsibilities.
The life Angela once dreamed of was gone. Instead it was now a whirlwind of school runs, paying bills and navigating a complicated benefits system, all while trying to squeeze in as many hours as she could at her job to try and cover the basic necessities.
“I’ve had too many sleepless nights,” Angela explained, “too many nights spent wondering if my siblings will go hungry, if I’ll have to choose between keeping the lights on or putting food on the table.”
Thanks to the generosity of community members like you, in their time of deepest need, Angela found Beverly Bootstraps—and with it, hope.
Supporting Beverly Bootstraps means more than just offering food. It’s about providing comfort to those who feel alone, restoring dignity to individuals who face hardship, and offering hope for a better tomorrow.
Now, more than ever, we need to come together and support one another, ensuring everyone knows they are valued and cared for. Every meal, donation, and act of kindness helps lift burdens and bring light to those navigating tough times. In these moments of shared compassion, YOU can truly make a difference. Your gift today makes a world of difference in the lives of Andrea and others like her.

About Us
Beverly Bootstraps was first established in 1992 as a Food Pantry in the basement of the First Baptist Church. With the generous support of our donors, volunteers and the community at large, we have grown to be a leading social service agency on the North Shore. We are unique in our approach to the issues of hunger. While recognizing that people need food in hand to stem immediate hunger, our clients also need the opportunity to be embraced by the community, educated about the resources available and empowered to improve their own lives.
