Food Assistance Programs

In response to the needs of our community, the Beverly Bootstraps Food Pantry was started in 1992 by the parishioners at the First Baptist Church. Since then, our services have grown tremendously to meet the ongoing needs of the community.

The Beverly Community embraces those in need of a meal by providing a free dinner every night of the week. About Kids Eat Healthy Initiative

No kid should go hungry or worry about where their next meal is coming from. As of March 2021, it is said that

%

of children in Essex County are food insecure and are faced with challenges every day.

Through our Kids Eat Healthy Initiative, Beverly Bootstraps is committed to ensuring that local children have consistent access to nutritious food. We support families through programs like the Kids Food Program and the Weekend Food Program, helping to reduce food insecurity and promote healthy development for children in need.

Weekend Food Program

During the school year, we partner with Beverly Public Schools to support school-age children who are at high risk of food insecurity—especially on days when school meals aren’t available, such as weekends and vacation weeks.

Each week, students in need receive pre-packed bags of healthy snacks and easy-to-prepare foods to take home for the weekend, helping to ensure they have the nutrition they need to thrive when school is out.
