There are both ongoing and project-oriented volunteer opportunities in the following programs: Education, Youth and Family, Food Assistance, Thrift Shop and Administration.

Current Volunteer Opportunities
Looking to give back in a meaningful way? Join our incredible community of volunteers at Beverly Bootstraps! We offer a variety of ways to get involved—from ongoing roles to short-term or one-time projects perfect for individuals or small groups.
Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Beverly Bootstraps!
We offer weekday, on-site opportunities in our Thrift Shop, Food Assistance, and Tax Preparation programs, as well as flexible remote and in-person roles in Adult Education.
Adult Education tutors (ESOL and HSE) typically volunteer twice a week. Most other volunteer roles require a once-a-week commitment for a minimum of three months.

Office hours are Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 9:30 AM–4:00 PM.

Adult Education
- High School Equivalency program: tutoring and teaching support
Flexible on-site 1-hour shifts twice a week. Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays 12:30-4:00 pm
Tax Prep
We will offer free tax preparation to eligible families. We are looking for volunteers to become certified IRS volunteer tax preparers and commit to volunteering during tax season. No prior experience is necessary.
Training and testing are done online at your own pace.
Flexible 3-hour shifts Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays 3:45-7:00 pm or Saturdays 9:00-12:00 pm
Thrift Shop
- Tagging and Organizing Donations, Stocking Racks, Assisting Shoppers
Flexible 1 ½ – 2 ½ hour shifts
Mondays–Fridays 8:30-6:00 pm, Saturday 9:30-5:00 pm
Short-Term Volunteer Opportunities
