Thanks to the Massachusetts Department of Education, local schools and community organizations, Summer Eats offers free meals statewide to all children and teens, with no ID or registration required. Summer Eats livens up every kid’s summer by filling their bellies and filling their days with activities that get them out, up, and moving.
For five months, Sawyer made the same 2½-mile journey to tutoring sessions, rain or shine, determined to earn his High School Equivalency Diploma. Alongside his tutor, Lizzy, he built more than academic skills—he built confidence, perseverance, and a path forward.
