After the tragic passing of her mother in February, Angela, only 22, was now the sole caretaker for her two younger siblings.

The life Angela once dreamed of was gone. Instead, it was now a whirlwind of school runs, paying bills, and navigating a complicated benefits system, all while trying to squeeze in as many hours as she could at her job to try and cover the basic necessities.
“I’ve had too many sleepless nights,” Angela explained, “too many nights spent wondering if my siblings will go hungry if I’ll have to choose between keeping the lights on or putting food on the table.”
