Education has always been a core component of our mission. Our Adult Education programs focus on providing accessible, practical courses to help students expand their skills, employment opportunities and increase their wages. Taught by a dedicated group of staff and volunteers, many of our programs offer ongoing, one-to-one instruction to provide the support each individual needs to achieve long-term success. Both daytime and evening classes are offered throughout the year.

Adult Education Calendar
Beverly Bootstraps Adult Education program will be closed when Beverly Public Schools are closed due to weather. There may also be other times the agency closes for inclement weather.
Additionally, if the City of Beverly has an active parking ban in effect, Beverly Bootstraps will be closed and will not reopen until two hours after the ban has been lifted.
Weather-related closing updates will always be posted on our website, Facebook and Instagram pages.
High School Equivalency Program
The High School Equivalency (HSE) program (formerly called the GED program) at Beverly Bootstraps provides GED or HiSET test prep in reading, writing, social studies, science, and mathematics.
HSE tutoring is offered virtually via Zoom and/or in-person to accommodate your needs.
Take the first step to a brighter future by completing the application below. Once we receive your application, we require an interview via Zoom or in-person before we assign you a tutor. With an HSE certificate, our students have greatly improved their career and salary potential.

ESOL
Our English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) program provides non-English speakers with basic English language skills required for life in the United States. Our goal is to provide a foundation for becoming confident, accurate, and fluent speakers and writers in English, as well as to learn to read content for work or continuing education. Classes are offered in-person in small groups of similar English ability–starters to intermediate learners. We offer Fall, Winter I, Winter II, Spring, and Summer sessions.
Our Winter 1 in-person ESOL session will begin December 3rd. Classes for the Winter 1 session are full. The Winter 2 session will run from February 25th through April 17th. Registration for Winter 2 will begin on February 4th.

College and Career Readiness
The College and Career Readiness program offers personalized career and educational guidance to help young adults and adults develop realistic plans for further education, job training, and sustainable employment that aligns with their goals and strengths.

Priority is given to families that have utilized other services offered by Beverly Bootstraps and have financial need.
