No child should go to bed hungry. No family should worry about how they are going to provide food for their loved ones. No senior should worry about how they are going to safely get food during these challenging times.
Together we give help. Together we give food. Together we give love. Together we give hope. Together we give.
Together, we can and will make a difference to Help Feed Beverly! Give today and your gift will have double the impact on those in need. Through the generosity of one local family all gifts (up to $25,000) will be matched dollar for dollar.
The people who need help now
Darlene's story
Life was not easy before this pandemic, but never did I think I would see the day when I would put my daughter to bed and wonder just how hungry she really is. With no school and no childcare available, I cannot work, and my job is not one that would allow me to work remotely. I spend all day trying to make life seem normal for my seven-year-old and worry all night about what may happen if this crisis continues and how I will ever be able to give her what she needs.
Walter and Anne's story
My wife and I are both over 80, and while we have some health concerns, until recently, we had been going to the grocery store ourselves. Now we are told it is not safe to leave our home, not even to get food. Since we live on a fixed income, we can’t afford to get our groceries delivered. We’ve never had to reach out for help until now, but now we need help.
Sarah's story
I’ve been out of work for over a month now and have already used all my savings just paying my rent. I’m a single parent with two kids to feed and I’m having a real hard time putting food on the table with the kids out of school. I know what I’m scraping together isn’t enough for two growing boys. Until Covid, we always had a roof over our head and food on the table. Now, I’m embarrassed and scared that I can’t even provide the necessities.
On this global day of giving, created as a response to the unprecedented need caused by COVID-19, we have the opportunity to use our individual powers of generosity to join together to help our neighbors in need. The effects of this pandemic will be felt for months to come so please consider donating, even if you’ve given before. Your gift will provide food and support to help ease the situation for so many.
Because together, we can.
